Yellowstone Lower Falls from Uncle Tom’s Trail

Lower Falls from Uncle Tom’s Trail on Thursday morning. Lower Falls is the largest waterfall in Yellowstone, with a drop of 308 feet. Rainbows are often visible mid-morning at a number of locations, with the viewpoint at the base of Uncle Tom’s Trail often providing the most consistent rainbow. The hike down along steep, see through steps is intimidating for some. The hike back up is not long but strenuous.
