The Subway – Zion National Park

I recently completed a hike up the Left Fork of North Creek in Zion National Park. This portion of the park is designated wilderness, with a permit system limiting the number of daily visitors. The ultimate destination for this hike is a beautiful spot, simply known as ‘The Subway’, where the narrow slot canyon has been carved by the creek to produce a cylinder shape through which the creek cascades down between colorful pools and small waterfalls. It is a spectacular site.
