Autumn is settling into the Tetons. Underbrush and some trees now have good color, and the deciduous trees along the Snake River are starting to change. My home away from home is back along Pacific Creek until the leaves are gone. This panorama is from this morning at Oxbow Bend in Grand Teton National Park. The last time I went to Oxbow before sunrise, I was surprised by a grizzly behind me. Today at sunrise, there must have been a hundred other people waiting for the first light. No grizzly wants part of that many tripods. It rained during the night, so I hoped for some fog. Apparently it was too warm, but the sky was quite dramatic.
