Jackson Lake Sunset

I recently returned from five nights at Colter Bay in Grand Teton National Park. While some of the campsites are a bit crowded, there are sites along the edges of several loops with sites close to the lake. We had a great site and enjoyed great views and kayaking around to several islands in the lake. On one particular evening, I had the sometimes rare experience of an awesome lake sunset. Since the sun is still fairly high when it drops behind the towering mountains, colorful sunsets are not common and only occur when there’s just the right density of cloud moisture.  It was pretty much perfect one night, and the result is below.
